This set of sculptures deals with the definition of space in general as well as with personal space and its physical boundaries. Each figure is made out of a simple, black powder-coated metal construction with cylindrical ceramic attributes placed over the ends of the metal pipes. Some of these sculptures are equipped with metal joints, enabling them to experience and define the space around them. The hollow cylindrical ceramic forms are glazed with various bluish tints and with an ash glaze made from human excrement. Through the metamorphosis of kiln firing the tabooed excrements become an aesthetic surface, where the intimate is turned into public space.
